About Black Cat Sounds

In 2011 Bex Hazard & Cat Llewelyn created Black Cat Sounds so that they could provide a platform for Dance music producers to find a good home for their publishing.

Royal Academy of Music Graduate Bex Hazard & Cat Llewely who are both Electronic Dance music,Chill-out and Classical Crossover composers who have had several No.1 Dance chart hit’s under the artist name of “ZiRENZ” and have won in 2003 John Lennon Honourable mention award for their Song writing. They have also featured on award winning compilation albums by Armin Van Buuren and have signed their music to leading Dance music labels Armada Music, Anjunabeats, Mondo Records, Perfecto Records, Nu Communicate Recordings and Offshore Music for their ZiRENZ releases.

Film & TV Library Music

Library Music is another name for production or stock music. It generally refers to any music that is owned by production music libraries that can be licensed for use in TV and film productions and commercials etc. Black Cat Sounds Publishing are would like to help our artists shape their music catalogues to showcase their published works to TV & Film production companies who are based in the UK & Abroad. We work with artists who write and produce the following music genres Trance, House, Electro, Electronica, Ambient, Chill-out and Classical Crossover styles. We alsoways look for artists that have a passion for creating the highest quality of music productions that will work well with in the new and expanding visual media world

Dance Music Publishing

Black Cat Sounds have found over the last seven years working in the dance music industry that many Dance music producers do not understand what their rights are regarding music publishing and that they have no publishing representation so they do not realise that there are small amounts of royalties for publishing that they should be collecting when a track is released and many small independent Digital Record labels do not always manage the music publishing of the releases so the publishing is in many cases never collected or managed . At Black Cat Sounds we recognised that this was something we could try to help with and give dance music producers a chance to try to collect their publishing no matter how small the amount for each download & physical sale made for their dance music releases.  We love all styles of Electronic Dance Music but choose to focus on Trance, House, Electro, Electronica, Ambient and Chill-out genres.
