VMM Recomended EP VMM 7/10 - Joe Fresco - Lime and Salt EP - Open House Recordings

Joe Fresco is back, after his last fantastic E.P. On Open House Recordings, ‘I Love Brazil’, with another Latin, Tribal, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian House music bomb! Joe is definatly making an impression on me, and his latest creation is catching my attention once again.

Joe Fresco has been mixing House Music for over 25 years since 1985. DJing at various venues in and around Chicago as well as for radio stations in Chicago, 90.5 fm and 89.3 fm to name a few, Joe has also appeared on various Internet radio shows in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

In 2009, Joe Fresco teamed up with Jose Gomez to form the production team of Gomez and Fresco.

Since 2009 Gomez and Fresco have produced dance tracks on Deep Hype Sounds, Pino Music, Poontin Muzik and currently for Open House Recordings which released their track entitled “La Vida Se Goza”. Joe has also remixed for Redbox Records in Ireland, ‘Craig Scully – Lost Minds (Joe Fresco’s Perdido Remix), out very shortly!

‘El Catrin’ is a deep house sound, with lots of disco/latin influences, making this a jolly ride indeed! Lots of trumpet sounds, a very nice latin/Brazillian track, and full on all the way, no long breaks, just pure house music! ‘Way of Life’ is a little more chilled out, sweet house rythems and deep house sounds. A nice male vocal talking about house music and a femal sample for good measure. A small dreamy break half way for a small berather before getting back on track. I sense a small disco influence here too! Very nice stuff, and my pick of the three! ‘Chelada’ is a very nice house number, lots of classic Latin/Bazillian sounds and put together very nicely! Top E.P. Can’t wait for the next one from Joe! Perfect for the Summer days! MORE LIME AND SALT PLEASE!
