VMM TOP Album VMM10/10 - Various Artists – Made In Undergroovy '12' / Undergroovy Recordings
I have had a few promos from Undergroovy, and if that was not good enough, I find ‘Made In Undergroovy’ in my inbox, WOW! What an album! 17 tracks of pure tribal based goodies. From deep tech house, tribal house, tech house, its all here! From artists such as; Stepane K, Gerald Henderson, DJ Haro, and Nino Bellemo, just to name a few top names, it’s very hard to pick a winner here, but I will pick out a couple I really love; On the deep side we have a sweet house track from ‘Drewtribe’ called ‘Xerxes’, which means; very nice deep, twisted sounds, cool drum work, and a track to take you under indeed! Spacing you out up until about two minutes into the track, then stepping it up, with uplifting drums, and some techy hats and shakers, the baseline is dark to fit with the scary fx in the background. Deepness at its best here! Stepping up from the dark side we have a track from ‘Gerald Henderson & Lolo Cruzalez’ called ‘Cantando’, meaning; Right from the start the drums are working here, alive and bouncy, with fantastic work from the man as usual. A Spanish singsong throughout, which breaks into some very nice Latin party sounds, before bouncing back to the rhythm and groove, very nice work! ‘DJ Amoroso & Nino Bellemo’ give us boost with ‘Set Me Free’, a driving tribal track from start to finish, with a little helping of a female vocal, to lift it a little! Again great drum work, and a top track. I could go on, track after track, but we would be here all day, you’ll have to buy the release to find out more! Will be in my playlists for a good long while!
