I have always been a fan of the productions that sit on Mondo Records. Artists like Darren Tate, Zirenz and Art of Trance have all appeared on this label, so generally you know that the label is into quality trance. Akira Kayosa and Hugh Tolland have graced us with their skills in the production Enceladus. The track is written in G# minor and follows the I,VI,IV,V progression. Its strangely a progression which isn’t common and yet very effective.

The synths are big and warm and really fill out the sound. There is a good balance between the the percussion and bass line and the overall mix is really good. The breakdown consists of side chained pads and arpeggios which fill out the break-down of the track. Is it progresses, all the parts swell together and the kick drum plays a driving groove under the chord stabs which send any party through the roof. This is a really hand raising track and easily puts a smile on most avid listeners face. Good job
